Southern Projects has been appointed to Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council's scaffolding framework, securing a place across both available lots for commercial, site housing and domestic housing works.
The appointment follows a competitive procurement process that assessed health and safety performance, operational capability, technical competence and the ability to deliver safely in public and residential environments.
Framework coverage across two lots
Lot 1 covers commercial and site housing, including corporate buildings, offices, leisure centres, schools, heritage assets, museums, bridge infrastructure and exposed seafront structures.
Lot 2 covers housing and domestic works, including domestic housing stock, flats and planned estate refurbishment schemes. Together, the two lots give BCP Council a route to bring in scaffold access support across a wide range of property types.
Access solutions for live public environments
Framework works often take place around residents, pupils, staff, facility managers and members of the public. That makes access design, risk management, communication and clean site discipline as important as the scaffold structure itself.
Southern Projects can support engineered scaffold design, TG20 tube and fitting scaffolds, temporary roofs, loading bays, mobile access and edge protection where the project requires it.
Why the appointment matters
For BCP Council and its delivery partners, the framework provides a vetted route to a contractor used to public-sector requirements and the practical constraints of occupied sites.
For Southern Projects, it reinforces its position as a trusted scaffolding and access partner across the South, supporting public sector, commercial and residential programmes.
