Southern Projects has been awarded Gold in the National Federation of Roofing Contractors Health, Safety and Environment in Roofing Awards 2025.

The award recognises more than a clean set of forms. It reflects the everyday habits that make roofing and building envelope work safer: proper planning, controlled access, clear supervision and a team that is willing to stop, check and challenge when something does not look right.

Recognition for the whole team

The NFRC received 101 entries for the awards. Southern Projects was one of 12 companies given a special mention for going beyond the standard award criteria, particularly around workforce engagement and safety culture.

That matters because good health and safety practice has to be lived on site. It depends on operatives, supervisors, project managers and office teams sharing the same expectations before work starts and throughout the programme.

Why it matters to clients

For clients, strong safety culture reduces disruption, protects building users and gives clearer evidence that works are being managed properly. On roofing, scaffolding and envelope projects, that can make the difference between a controlled programme and a reactive one.

Thank you to the Southern Projects team, our clients and our supply chain partners for helping build the standard recognised by this award.
